Depression is a common yet serious mental health condition that can affect every aspect of your life, from your relationships to your ability to work or enjoy everyday activities. While it can feel overwhelming, therapy offers a pathway to understanding and managing depression. At EmpathyHQ, our therapists are committed to providing compassionate, evidence-based support to help you navigate this challenging condition and find hope and healing.
Depression is more than just feeling sad or going through a rough patch. It’s a persistent condition that can cause feelings of hopelessness, fatigue, and a lack of interest in activities you once enjoyed. It can also affect your physical health, leading to symptoms such as changes in appetite, sleep disturbances, and unexplained aches and pains.
The causes of depression are complex and can include genetic factors, chemical imbalances in the brain, stressful life events, or a combination of these. Understanding the root causes of your depression is an important step in the healing process, and therapy can provide the guidance needed to explore these underlying factors.
